If you’re planning to progress into Beauty Therapy, Aesthetics or Injectables, it’s particularly important to check the exact Anatomy and Physiology qualification required by your future training provider, professional body or insurer before enrolling.
The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology is commonly used within the beauty and aesthetics sector and provides learners with a recognised Level 3 qualification covering the structure and functions of the human body.
However, requirements within the aesthetics industry can vary considerably, particularly for advanced or injectable treatments. An Anatomy and Physiology qualification on its own doesn’t qualify somebody to carry out aesthetic or injectable procedures.
You’ll still need to meet the training, competency, insurance and any other professional requirements associated with the treatments you intend to provide.
If a training provider has told you that you need a Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification before joining their course, ask them to confirm the exact qualification they’ll accept.
