As a learner, you will:

  • take responsibility for your own learning, pursue your studies with a positive commitment and do your best.
  • utilise the learning resources available to you on your programme of study.
  • actively participate in any required learning activities and assessments for your programme.

Support

As a provider, we will:

  • provide clear information concerning the level of academic support you will receive.
  • take all reasonable measures to provide appropriate support where disabilities and/or access requirements may inhibit your learning.
  • provide you with access to online resources required for study, the learners portal and online downloadable manuals.
  • give you opportunities to provide feedback on the quality of our programmes and services.
  • provide you with appropriate channels to voice any concerns you have throughout the course of your study.
  • treat any complaints seriously and fairly, and respect confidentiality at all times.

As a learner, you will:

  • make use of any information and exercises offered for your programme of study.
  • inform us in good time of any access requirement so that we can consider how to meet your needs.
  • seek advice if you are unhappy with any aspect of your study.

Responsibilities

As a provider, we will:

  • provide an educational experience that is of a consistently high standard and in line with good academic practice.
  • provide you with points of contact in case you have questions or need advice.
  • ensure that assessment methods are appropriate and provide you with the opportunity to achieve the learning outcomes of your programme.
  • provide a robust assessment system using suitable examiners, appointed by Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses.
  • provide you with information on what is inappropriate and may constitute an assessment offence, for example, plagiarism and cheating in examinations, how to avoid it and the consequences of assessment offences.
  • make all rules and regulations relating to your programme of study available to you, including those associated with assessments.
  • provide you with your assessment results.
  • evaluate the quality and standards offered to you at the school, as set out in the Accreditation Framework.

As a learner, you will:

  • pay the required fees by the published deadlines.
  • be responsible for managing your time so that you submit work by the stipulated deadlines to avoid any penalties or delays to your progression.
  • follow any advice given in your programme information including, but not limited to, methods of academic writing, good practice of referencing and how to avoid plagiarism
  • ensure that you understand and comply with all rules and regulations relating to your programme of study, including procedures regarding your assessment.
  • comply with any expectations and procedures set by Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses, as applicable.
  • Comply with the learner’s agreement to which you have agreed.

Respect

As a provider, we will:

  • be courteous and respectful in our interactions with you on all platforms.
  • provide equality of treatment for all regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
  • respect your right to confidentiality.
  • protect all the personal information you provide to us and be aware of all responsibilities in line with the Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Equality Acts.

As a learner, you will:

Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses Regulations

I hereby acknowledge that as a learner of Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses I am bound by all the requirements which relate to me as a learner in force under the Learners Charter, Terms and Conditions, Learners Agreement, Policies and Regulations of Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses as amended from time to time. I understand that these include the requirement that all outstanding academic debts to Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses are paid by the agreed schedule before an award/certification can be confirmed and that for serious breaches of regulations the penalties may include termination of enrolment.

Statement of Policy regarding the Data Protection Act 2018

I understand that Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses processes my personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), Data Protection Act 2018 (UK) as applicable, in the circumstances described below:

As a general principle, information collected about learners will be stored as part of Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses records only for as long as it is needed and used only for achieving the purposes for which it was collected. It is used to support Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses central and legitimate activities (mainly teaching and research, administration, and health and safety). I understand that Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses Data Protection Policy applies to all learners who process personal information on behalf of Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses, and the Policy sets out the standards expected by Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses in relation to the processing of personal information and safeguarding individuals’ rights and freedoms. As a learner of the school, I understand that I should only process personal information for an academic or related purpose to Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses, with the knowledge and express consent of an appropriate Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses employee. My processing of personal information should be limited to the minimum consistent with the achievement of academic objectives. I also understand that I may be asked to demonstrate compliance with its obligations if required under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Sharing Assessment information

I understand that Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses may make available any piece of assessment work that I may undertake as a requirement of my programme of study to third parties where this is necessary for the conduct of proper academic business and quality assurance. This may include assessed items being stored by third parties and further reproduced to assess work submitted at a later date. Assessment items submitted may also be reproduced for comparison against work submitted by other institutes.

Sharing Disability information

It is Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses policy to obtain your specific consent where you wish to disclose a disability or specific learning difficulty to Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses. This is to enable Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses to meet those support needs.

Sharing information in an emergency

I understand that if Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses is seriously concerned about my safety or that of others it will discuss with me any external services, or third parties, including an emergency contact, parent, guardian or sponsor that it considers may need to be involved in any support I may require. Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses may, in serious circumstances, contact external services or third parties, including an emergency contact, parent, guardian or sponsor without my permission to facilitate professional support (e.g. Doctor or emergency services) or personal support. Whenever possible, I will be informed if information is to be shared externally.

This enrolment is subject to me satisfying any outstanding requirements resulting from the admissions process, previous assessment, or any other stipulations required by my programme of study.

To check regularly Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses policies, my learner’s portal and the email account I have provided as important information regarding my programme of study, tuition fees will be sent via these mediums.

Pandemics and lockdowns

As Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses is an online only learning platform, any lockdown should not have an impact on your ability to learn. We expect learners to continue with their course work and will not accept a lockdown as reason for allowing additional time to a course. Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses will consult, appropriate and will communicate changes to you as soon as practicable so that you have the information you need to understand how a change may impact you and what steps you need to take next. Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses remains committed to supporting you as you learn.

Your right to cancel the contract

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days of enrolment without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days of making the contract. Full details of your cancellation rights are given in your Terms & Conditions which you will receive as an acknowledgement of your enrolment. However, once you have logged into your learners portal, you will forfeit the right to cancel the contract as you will have been allowed access to learning materials and as such will be deemed to have started your course.

I confirm I wish to enrol for an Academic qualification including independent learning modules. I understand that, by confirming below, fees become due and I agree to pay my fees in accordance with the schools fee payment policy.

Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses Learners Agreement for Level 3 Qualifications

Please read the following and sign the box on the final page to confirm you have read, understood and accept the Learners Agreement.

Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses are committed to continually improving the quality of our courses. As well as what you can expect from us, this agreement also explains what Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses expects of you. The quality of the services that we believe you are entitled to be balanced with responsibilities placed on you.

When studying at Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses this is what you can expect from us:

  • To receive course notes which will provide you with information about Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses and its facilities.
  • An appraisal of the course syllabus showing key stages and criteria for examination.
  • That the teaching you receive will be evaluated. We will use feedback if necessary to enhance the quality of our teaching.
  • That we will work with you to help you develop your learning skills, recognising that this is an on-going process.
  • That we will provide a quality online learning platform.
  • That we will provide you with access to appropriate resources to enable you to complete your studies or, in the event that we are unable to do so, direct you to where additional resources can be located.
  • That we will support you in your learning, to help you complete your studies.
  • That the teaching team will be courteous, professional, punctual and efficient.
  • That we will answer all communication received as quickly as we can.
  • That we will mark all course work within the time frame given within the learner’s portal.
  • That we will respect your right to confidentiality.
  • That we will comply with all relevant legislation.

What we expect of you:

  • To be knowledgeable and regularly familiar with the Learners Charter. The Learners Charter is a reference point for our learners and team setting out our expectations, rights and responsibilities as members of the Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses community. It gives an overview of how we work together to establish and maintain our unique learning and living culture. Our Learners Charter has been jointly developed by the Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses and learners’ experiences whereby Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses work in partnership with learners on the implementation of the Learners Charter and the learners’ voice. The learner’s charter is a live information base that supports independent learning and gives guidance and parameters of how you will work.
  • That you are familiar with the student enrolment declaration.
  • That you will take responsibility for your own learning, understanding that it is an independent framework.
  • If you require any help with learning, this needs to be declared. If you have an Educational Report Statement or an Educational Health Care Report/Plan, outlining your learning needs, this needs to be submitted to Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses as soon as possible, so that the relevant help and support can be discussed and put in place. If we are not able to facilitate your requirements, we will work with you to help try to find a suitable training school which will be able to facilitate your requirements.
  • That you take responsibility for seeking any support you need.
  • That you will pay all fees and charges due when required.
  • Upload all coursework to the portfolio system as you are completing it.
  • Please also note that if you fail to log in to the system for 60 days, the system may automatically remove you, and all uploaded work and grades will be deleted. It is the learners’ responsibility to log in and keep the system updated, not Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses. Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses will not be responsible for work which is lost or deleted.

Course Timeframe – 12 months duration 

  • All online courses must be completed within 12 months of course allocation; this includes the final assessment. If you require additional time to complete your course, an extension will only be granted on medical grounds, and medical documentation will be required. The course can then only be extended by a further six months to a total of 18 months from the course start date. There will be a £60 administration fee for extending your course. You must apply via email to bookings@anatomy-and-physiology-online-courses.co.uk for an extension. Please note that the Anatomy and Physiology Online Learners Portal closes at 17:00hrs on the day of completion day. After this time, you will not be able to access the course.
  • Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses will not chase learners for coursework, this is the learner’s responsibility to timetable and schedule work. It is an independent learning structure and personal responsibility. Please read the welcome letter which can be found within the portfolio system for your course regarding penalties for the late surrender of coursework.
  • Answer all correspondence from Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses regarding the course and supply information required on time.
  • Lost coursework is the reasonability of the learner, not Anatomy and Physiology Online Courses.
