ITEC has a long history in beauty, complementary therapies, sports, and related vocational education, and its qualifications are well known in these sectors. VTCT also has a long history as an awarding organisation within vocational education.
VTCT acquired ITEC in 2016, bringing the two organisations together.
For learners, however, the most important consideration shouldn’t simply be whether a qualification carries the ITEC or VTCT name.
Look at the specific qualification you’re considering.
Check its full title, qualification level, content, assessment requirements and how it fits with your intended progression.
If you’re studying Anatomy and Physiology because another training provider has asked you to obtain a particular qualification, ask them to confirm exactly what they’ll accept before you book.
Likewise, if you need the qualification for professional membership or insurance purposes, check those requirements directly.
